To introduce myself, my name is Russ Weiser, I am the TableTop Director for the ConCentric Convention Company. We have two conventions coming up in the first quarter of 2006 and I thought I'd drop a note about the Apples To Apples goings-on.

Besides the basic Apples To Apples events (standard playings with new opponents), we also feature special rules variant playings...

The first, and more often played, is called Prize-Winning Apples. The differences? Ten cards in hand, two red apples played per non-judge (special circumstances), and the chance to toss cards you don't want. For more details, check out "Muching Apples: The First 'Apples To Apples' Fan Site" at http://www.com-www.co....

The second variant edition is played once per con (becase of how long it takes). There is once change, and one change only: The only players allowed to play are those 17 and older. And for those who are interested in an adult playing, it is very fun (no strip-apples, just no holding back on sick humor). Other than this one specific playing (held Saturday Nights), all Apples To Apples events are for anyone old enough to understand how to play (no minimumu age).

In addition, if anyone out there has a special way to run Apples To Apples (or any other game), or just enjoys GM'ing games and likes telling people what to do, we're always looking for GMs to run events (we DO have a club policy that, depending on results, can end up paying you for running events).

The 1st convention is TriCentric and will take place Feb. 9-12 in Ft. Wayne, IN (a couple hrs away).
The 2nd convention is ConCentric and will take place Apr. 20-23 in Crystal Lake, IL (northern Chicago suburb).

For more information, you can check out ConCentric Convention Company's website at...
